If you can believe it an instructor in a community college in Iowa was canned for saying the story of Adam and Eve was a fairy tail in class!!!!

It seems some of the corn feed student inbreds threatened to sue the college for this statement and the gutless administration fearing a religious holy war canned the guy!!!!

Now if EVER there was a case for the ACLU this has to be it!!!

But what is even more worring is the mentality of the inbreds in this area, but then their retarded senator is a big booster of ethanol so maybe in the field of dreams state they are rasing more morons than corn!!!!!!!!!

The instructor has freedom of speech, but there are times NOT to bite the hand that feeds you. The locals have a right to THEIR beliefs, too and to not hear from a government employee that their beliefs are futile. That is a violation of the separation of church & state.

so govt. employees are afforded the freedom of speech for everything EXCEPT religion? You are parroting the Taliban thimk. At the college level the students should be mature enough to decide for themselves, unless of course they are being dumbed down from being fed Divine Creation myth, and having their innate curiosity blunted from always hearing "because god made it that way" when they ask "why, and how? "

If a government employee has the right to teach students that their religion is hogwas, then they also have the right to teach others about creation.

and you know this is a govt. employee at a community college, where tuition paid by the students provides the working capital for the institution?

I am making the assumption based on my belief there are but two kinds of colleges--public & private.
